Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation

Admission is $5.00. Tournament usually concludes at approximately 4:00 p.m., followed by a VIP barbecue dinner and awards.

Celebrities who have participated in past tournaments include Wayne Gretzky, Samuel L. Jackson, Eddie Van Halen, Chad Everett, James Woods, Joe Pesci, Kelsey Grammer, Dennis Franz , Jack Nicholson, Chris O'Donnell, Neal McDonough and Mark Wahlberg.

Attractions: In addition to the Tournament, there are many Police Department displays, such as helicopters, the bomb squad, the mobile museum, and LAPD horses. There is also great food and drink throughout the park.

Attendance: Approximately 15,000 to 20,000. Attendees include golf enthusiasts, celebrity watchers, and those looking for a family day in the park. A large number of children attend the event with their parents.

Beneficiary: All proceeds benefit the Los Angeles Memorial Foundation, which financially assists LAPD family members experiencing catastrophic circumstances resulting from injury or death. Since it's inception in 1972, the Foundation has granted more than $13 million for medical, funeral and educational expenses.

Police Celebrity Annual Golf Tournament

History of The Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation. Each year the Memorial foundation hosts the Los Angeles Police-Celebrity Golf Tournament. The Memorial Foundation does not receive any direct taxpayer money. The residence and corporate community of Los Angeles generously support the Memorial Foundation throughout the year and during our annual fundraiser, the Police-Celebrity Golf Tournament.

During the tournament, corporate sponsors are paired with celebrities and officers for a fun filled day of golf, great food, awards and camaraderie in a festive open house atmosphere that includes thirty Department displays and is attended by 15,000-20,000 spectators. Each year, over thirty celebrities from the sports, television and movie industry participate in the Los Angeles Police-Celebrity Golf Tournament.
